1. With physical film editing, the editor impacts the film. This makes the film flow and enables the film to be cut where it is necessary to make fixes. All types of physical editing are linear editing, destructive writing, and non-linear editing.
2. Figuring out which editing systems work best for the film is another way an editor impacts the film. The budget, workflow, and ease of use are taken into account. Editing systems such as Avid Media composer, Apples final cut pro, and Adobe premiere are commonly used by editors. 3. Another way an editor impacts the film is by having the opportunity to alter the viewpoint of films. Since the editor will decide when and for how long the camera remains on a particular character, it affects the perspective of the viewer on the characters.

The target audience of my product is the football community and people interested in football. My product engages with this audience by including content that they would be intrigued by. The articles are relatable and interesting to the audience. Obviously the main target audience, football fans, would be the most interested in the magazine.
My product can be delivered in many different ways as true media text. It would start with online advertisements for the masses to come across on various social media sites. Several social media sites are now posting advertisements between videos or streams. My magazine would be entirely online, so online advertising would make it readily available. Posting the link to my music video on my own social media pages will be another way of distribution, asking friends and family to check it out and spread it further. This way, I will also use the individuals I know as a source of advertising and promotion. My magazine challenges conventions by presenting my unique opinions in a different way. The normal sports analysts do not put out factual statements for the most part. Half the time, their opinions are disingenuous and are put out for the sole purpose of getting more engagement. Every magazine is the same in this sense. Mine challenges this trend and goes against it.
My magazine represents football and its fans. It is made for fans to read on events happening and opinions on certain things happening in the sport. I would not say it represents any issues. This magazine is all about what NFL watchers enjoy. It represents the NFL community well. Much like any sports magazine, mine is very clearly meant to represent sports fans, more specifically football ones. Camera Shots
1. The opening intro brings us through the setting with different clips. 2. We meet Mr. Soprano with a shot through a statue’s legs, showing his interest. 3. The therapist scene starts with a 2 shot and then flips between the perspectives. 4. There is a panning shot when Mr. Soprano picks up the newspaper. 5. There is a POV shot at the end that shows what the wife is seeing. Sound 1. Intro song gives us a sort of vibe for the show. 2. There is no background music in the first scenes to maybe make us focus. 3. The first background music comes in 3 minutes or so into the clip, showing this is a flashback perhaps 4. We hear Mr. Soprano almost narrating his day. 5. The music in the kitchen gives us an idea of when this takes place. Editing 1. The beginning scene has no cuts when he first walks in. 2. The clip uses audio from another scene as an overlay on flashbacks. 3. The clip only uses cuts when necessary. 4. Nice transition from the girl looking at Soprano to the kitchen scene. Mise-en-cine 1. People wear clothes appropriate to the situation other than Soprano wearing a robe in the pool. 2. The kitchen set is not that modern. 3. We know this is the United States. 4. It is the morning due to the parents wearing robes and whatnot. 5. The nature and environment make me think this is somewhere northern. Meaning This is about Mr. Soprano telling a therapist about the events leading to his incident. He takes her through his day. All media is owned by a company or a corporation of some sort. This raises some issues. Major companies dominating the industry and Piracy are just a couple.
First off, the industry is primarily ran by bigger companies such as Warner Bros and DreamWorks. These companies and a couple others are almost the only ones that release big movies. This brings in far more money than anyone else. Film is dominated by the same major companies. Piracy is a major problem with media ownership. Basically, piracy is distributing media without permission from the owner. Piracy is illegal. If someone downloads a movie and sends it around without the permission of the owner, it is piracy and they could see a harsh punishment. Piracy is very easy and inexpensive, making it far more common as the years go on. Some people even record new films with a camera in movie theaters. Piracy is a growing issue, and rapidly, but why is it so important? Piracy has a negative impact on all of the workers in their respective industries. Piracy leads to less money coming in, which leads to less money for software, production, etc. It can be so serious that people may have struggles supporting themselves. Even a decade ago, 59 billion dollars worth of software was stolen! There is a gigantic loss in income with piracy. Overall, Large Corporations and Piracy are some issues raised by Media Ownership. My magazine, despite the name thinking different, provides thoughts in a generic way. The thoughts themselves are unique and do not go with the norm, however. My magazine is primarily for Football fans so I would say it speaks to them.
My magazine could be accessible online. My cover features a picture of one of the more popular players in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes. This is appealing to NFL fans because its a face they know very well. The magazine will be fully digital. The world is becoming more and more electronic based and making the magazine digital seems beneficial. The template above is nice and simplistic. Clean and straight to the point. I would like some pictures on it The template above is also nice and clean. This one does have pictures but possibly too many. The template above might be the perfect one for me. It has all the elements I look for. Nice and clean. It also includes pictures, but not too many. This one is my favorite.
I am looking to do my magazine on NFL football as a whole instead, not just a specific player or team. Some potential topic ideas would be Playoffs, Awards, Free Agency, and the Draft, among others. Write Up
My answers were way too short and simple compared to the candidate's responses. I could have went into more detail and elaborated more. I also did not answer everything completely. I could have done a better job on the answers. Next time I will go more in depth and elaborate. Notes Once again, the candidate went far more in depth and wrote more than me. The candidates notes seemed far more helpful and overall better. For example, the sound notes had much more volume when it came to the candidates notes. Overall, I should look to take more thorough and better notes. 1. The title introduces the main topic, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills football team.
2. The letters are bold and big, grabbing the readers attention. 3. The picture is of the Buffalo Bills player, Josh Allen. This picture is him standing with his jersey, showing how young and new he is to the team. The picture signifies new beginnings and hope. 4. The strapline, "Thinking Differently", shows that this magazine is not like others and provides a different perspective on the NFL world. Intertextuality is the point where two works of art overlap. Pastiche - An artistic work in a style that imitates that of another Parody - An imitation of the style of a particular writer with deliberate exaggeration for comic affect Homage - Special honor shown publicly In the first and last one, stranger things and family guy use a similar style to star wars movie cover arts. In the second one, the Simpsons mirror a painting by making homer do the same thing in the same background.
